A COGS Members-Only Tour and Genealogy Scavenger Hunt at UGA Libraries

Are you a family historian or genealogist who thinks only the special collections departments of academic libraries hold the keys to your research? Think again! The UGA Libraries in Athens offer a wealth of resources beyond the special collections, all available to you when you’re in the building. Join us for an exciting scavenger hunt where you’ll uncover treasures that can help you trace your family history.

Location: UGA Main Library, 320 S. Jackson Street, Athens, GA
Meeting Point: Instruction Lab at the Main Library
Registration: As soon as possible so the best hunt can be devised for you
Limited Spots: Only 20 participants max!
Deadline: Register by Noon on Tuesday, 10 September 2024.

Parking & Access:
Parking: Pay parking is available at the North Campus deck on Jackson Street.
Handicapped Parking: Available in the lot adjacent to the Main Library on Jackson Street.
Library Access: Photo ID required for entry.

What to Expect: Orientation in the UGA Library Instruction Lab. Guided exploration of the library’s 9 floors. Personal time to search for research materials. A personalized scavenger hunt to help you find your ancestors. After registering, you’ll receive a handout and further logistical details.
